In this their is a demy god or as the book calls them halve bloods named Percy Jackson and he is on a quest to try to get to the under world to retrive a very dangerous explosive weapon from hades called the master bolt.
And he has to get it back to Zeus before the summer solace or else the world will go into world war 3 with Posideion and Zeus aganist each other. Percy is also going to the underworld not only for the Masterbolt but also to retrive his mother from hades.
